Finally! Time to board the airplane. We walked onto the plane with a sight of first class seats, that we didn’t waste money on. I took the window seat. After 30 painful minutes of looking at the seatback screen with no headphones to use it with, I settled on closed captions. As the plane took to the skies, the flight crew handed us earphones.
I figured I should tell you what’s going on. I am Spandan, 11, or one of the many nicknames I have earned over the course of my life. I’m currently on a plane to Chicago, then I will board one to Sioux Falls. I’m on a vacation to South Dakota. For the whole flight I watched Wicked. They handed out beverages and snacks. We land at Chicago and I’m now forced to wait 2 1/2 hours. We got to Sioux Falls in time, and got a monster of a rental car – a Toyota 4Runner – a true SUV according to my dad, and set out for the long drive across nearly the entire length of the state.
